This painting started around early 2014 but I just couldnt find the right feeling to finish it back then. In this painting I shows myself bringing a big teddy bear to give it to her, so when she misses me she can hug the teddy. That's what I did when we first started long distance relationship. It's been going on for about 7 years now, and the painting shows the moment where I miss her the most, which is when I travel back to meet her. The few hours flight seems to take forever. I'm not sure if I like it but it definitely made us appreciate our time together much much more!

Personally I find it really hard to bring this painting to life because I dont know what to add in it to make it interesting enough. The subjects are very simple, and the background has got nothing interesting to deliver. In the end I tried to use colors and shapes to hopefully make it appealing.

Hey guys, so somewhere in 2014 a few friends and I were chit chatting about our hobbies and whatnot. We realized we've been buying and collecting lots of artbooks all these years and so we thought, why not we make one ourselves instead. It will be a whole new meaningful experience as we have zero knowledge in it. All we have is just our love for artbooks!

Our goal is to firstly try to improve and make a breakthrough in our art, and secondly to make a book where artbook lovers would love to collect as well. There's still a lot for us to improve in making an artbook, so we will keep on learning and hopefully bring more awesome stuff for you guys. And finally here's a "proper" preview album for this Milky Overdrive artbook!

My first personal work in 2016 is finally done! I tried to challenge myself to illustrate a scene with multiple characters, and trying to find a balance to work from grayscale to colors. Initially I thought of presenting the "Year of the monkey" theme with new monkey designs or look but I gave up halfway when I'm trying to control the entire painting so I wont lose interest in it. There's just too much stuff to take care in this kind of painting and I find myself lack of the patience and skills to make everything perfect. So I guess I'll have to improve it next time. Also I repainted the entire image straight with fresh colors instead of converting them using layer modes from my initial grayscale painting, mainly because I failed to find a way to convert them nicely and the image just ended up so muddy and dirty with those layer modes. There's a lot of struggle in this painting but I'm really glad that I managed to pull it off to a certain degree where I still love it. Alright guys, hope you guys dig and happy chinese new year!

Overwatch fan art of Lúcio. Experimented with a new coloring method which I found useful for a color sucker like me. The process is fairly simple....just paint a grayscale version, then multiply a flat color on top of it. After that I just slightly applied some more color changes through Overlay or Color mode. Anyway despite all the process shits....OVERWATCH IS AWESOME!

I'm looking at a lot of korean artists' work lately on Artstation, super inspired by their RPG game character designs so decided to come up with one myself. Here's some steps from the initial anatomy study to the costume development, rendering it up and then colorize to bring him to life. I'm really sucky with colors so I hope I can tackle that part more in the next artwork.

Watched Mad Max IV with colleagues the other day, and I was stoned from the start to the end. We went in with high expectations and still got our ass kicked! Such a good movie in every aspect, satisfaction guaranteed. Go and watch it if you havent, it's a work of art! I'm super inspired after the movie and ended spending my entire weekend working on this piece. Never had so much fun painting bikes before, it used to be a very hard subject for me personally but now I'm in love with them. Hope

you guys love it!

My colleagues and I are producing some A2 prints to hang on in office so I thought I'll go for a group shot of people. We're doing it black and white + a flat background color, and after browsing master Kim Jung Gi's sketchbook, I decided to draw tattoos and some figure's back, inspired by master Kim's artwork! I drew each of the characters separately so it's easier for me to adjust the spacing and scaling later on. Was a really fun piece to work on! Hope you guys dig.

Recently having fun in a challenge on facebook, where artist tagged have to post 3 artworks per day for 5 consecutive days, doesnt matter new or old. I was tagged by one of my favourite artist of all time, Puppeteer Lee. His works inspired me a lot and seeing him submitting new sketches specially for this challenge really motivates me to do the same. Since having something new and never seen before is more meaningful for this challenge, I go ahead and commit a 5-day sketch series everyday after working hour. I came up with a series of masks men, as I'm really fascinated by all kind of masks from around the world...and draw them in my own style! Hey guys! First update of the year. I guess this is the fastest update between the last post in my blogging history LOL. Anyway happy new year everyone!! Here's my first painting in 2015, an image inspired by The Hobbit III. Personally I really love the armor designs especially among the dwarfs, despite being pretty disappointed in the film.
